a few things i wrote at uconn between 2000 and 2004, rescued from an old zip file. Two of them run in your browser again; the rest are here to read, exactly as I wrote them.

- 6502 relocatable assembler · CSE 258 · 2003 · C++ (MFC)
An assembler for the 6502, the CPU in the Apple II and NES: works out instruction lengths and addressing modes, then emits hex.
- Page replacement simulator · CSE 258 · 2003 · C++ (MFC)
Simulates virtual-memory page replacement (FIFO, LRU, LFU, and random) over a stream of page references and counts the faults.
- Memory placement simulator · CSE 258 · 2003 · C++ (MFC)
Simulates placing jobs in main memory with first-fit, next-fit, best-fit, and worst-fit, tracking the free holes as jobs come and go.
- Expression compiler · CSE 124 · 2000 · C++
A tiny C-like language: declare ints, assign infix expressions, print with cout. Each line is compiled to postfix and run. Lab 4.
- Expression tree · CSE 124 · 2000 · C++
Builds a binary expression tree from an arithmetic expression and walks it in prefix, infix, and postfix order. Data structures lab 7.
- Battleship · CSE 124 · 2000 · C++
Console Battleship: ships of three, four, and five squares hidden on a grid, and you call shots by row letter and column number.

Team projects and work built on someone else's code stay out, so everything shown here is mine.
- SENK (CSE 293 (capstone), 2003): A team-built multiplayer world with a server, a player client, and a god client. It lives on as Senk (featured above).
- 3D pool table (CSE 275 (graphics), 2003): An OpenGL billiards table with ball physics, built on NeHe's collision-detection lesson 30, so it isn't shown here.
- Course registration client and server (CSE 230, 2001): A team project in Java with a socket server and a GUI client. Code by teammates isn't shown.
- XML editor and cell-biology editor (team projects, 2002): Team projects in Java Swing. Code by teammates isn't shown.
